Winning Wednesdays & 500 Followers Giveaway Announcement

Hi Everyone!

We did it!  Candy to be won soon!  Time still to follow/comment....

I've decided my blog has been a little sparse lately because I'm always so rushed.  I want to do a few things to revamp and I hope you'll hang in there with  me while I get some of the details sorted out and the bugs worked out.  First off, as some of you have noticed, I've been on a super lucky streak with blog candy winnings lately!  I'd love to take the time  and write thank you cards to everyone who has sent me blog candy and while that might still happen, I figured I really need to acknowledge them in someway so I decided to do a regular post, hopefully every Wednesday (if I feel well) and show you all what I've received as it comes in! I will call it Winning Wednesdays for now, and we'll see if I can keep my own deadline. LOL The first one will be in a separate post.  Also, I would like to post any fun hauls I've made for the week and any fun sales, etc. so I can pass them on to you all!  I hope that sounds like fun to you and occasionally I will be doing RAKs for people who leave me comments guiding me to blog hops or other places to enter to win cool things or special sales that I may not know about.  As you all are aware, it's hard impossible to catch everything that's going on all the time and I miss out on a lot of stuff.  Sometimes I don't catch items I've actually won because I don't get an email or someone misspells my user name so when I search, it doesn't show up.  Anytime anyone catches something I've won that I'm not aware of, I will send you a little RAK such as a stamp set or card or ribbon, etc.  I need some little elves, so I'm asking you, my friends and followers to be them for me and you will be rewarded! :0)

Staying at home, living with fibro, not much comes into the day to cheer me up a bunch and that is one of the reasons why I love doing blog hops and especially winning! LOL ;)  Who doesn't love winning? Every single time I win something or get something cool in the mail, my spirits just boost and I'm a happy camper!  I'm really not trying to sound shallow or materialist or ungrateful for all the other wonderful things in my life, but those little things really can pull you out of a rut when you're having a pain-filled, unproductive day.  Getting little things here and there just keeps me motivated.  I can't help it!  I'm a Material Girl! LOL

The other thing about this is it works both ways for me.  I love to give as well as receive and that makes me just as, if not more, happy!  SO with that being said, I am going to hold a giveaway when I reach 500 followers!  I'm not sure what the prize I'm giving away yet will be, but I can promise you it will be fun and a variety of things!  I will post a picture before the actual winner is picked.  In the meantime, here's how to get some extra entries.

1.  +1 Mandatory - Must be a follower.  Everyone, old and new, who wants to be entered must leave one comment on this post stating their status and if you have any sort of Cricut machine.  I need this info for prize purposes. (Can someone show me how to keep this post always at the top?  I haven't looked into it yet.)  I'd appreciate it!

2.  Extra Entries: (Please post each entry separately and do the +1 at the bottom so I can properly add your entries)

  • +1 Post a great sale that is going on or a new site you found that sells great scrapbooking products
  • +2 Post about this giveaway on your blog, linking back to my blog
  • +2 Inquire here about any of the companies I am affiliated with or the products I sell by going to my website at www.amyjrockstar.com  and let me know if you'd like any of my catalogs (please only ask for catalogs if you're truly interested in my products)  I am a Personal Consultant/ Independent Business Owner for Memory Works, Be Young Essential Oils, Amway (including multiple affiliated companies such as Artistry, Nutrilite, and Joann's), and I do Custom Creations of course (including cards, business cards, fliers, brochures, etc.)! :0)  Please note:  if you shop Joann's through my site, you will get special incentives rather than going straight to their site!  Discounts may be given and or RAKs!
  • +1 Add your entries for me in your final comment, including the final +1 for this (ask if you have questions)
Ok!  Whew, that was a lot of work on this end, but hopefully not too much work on your end and I promise, it will be worth it!

Thanks as always for visiting and good luck to you all on the drawing!  Let's hope for 500 soon!

I hope you enjoyed my project from yesterday.  Thanks for all your sweet comments. :)  Today I have another creation from last year.  Apparently, I didn't post any of the Christmas projects that I made!  These cards are very similar, but with a different greeting.  I just love this penguin from the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge.  It's definitely one of my favorite cuts ever.  I used it a lot last year and it's quite versatile because you can really do a lot to dress up the penguin.  For mine, I added Glossy Accents to all the black so the penguin would be really shiny (like they are in real life). :)  I also added ink for definition and Stickles to give it a little bling!  I can't remember which stamp set I used for the background which is just black on white cardstock from my stash, but the sentiment stamps are from Stampin' Up (older sets).  If you would like to know where the patterned paper is from, let me know and I'll look it up.  I still have the 6x6 pack, but I can't remember who it's from!  I hope you enjoy!
 Season's Greetings
Merry Christmas

12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop - Day 2

Good morning Crafty Friends!

LOL It's a great challenge for myself.  I just can't wait to see what every one else has been creating this season so I will list all the stops below for an easy way to find everyone.

I hope you enjoyed my project from yesterday.  I so love making those gifts!  Today's project is a card I made last season, with just paper, stickers, a stamp and some rainbow ink really (and a little touch of Stickles).  I think I've much improved since then, but still wanted to show this cute little reindeer off. ;)  I used pop dots to set the reindeer paper up a bit off the page for some dimension and I decided to use rainbow ink for the stamps.  I have no idea where the Home Sweet Home stamp is from, but the Merry Christmas stamp is from Stampin' Up.  It's one of my faves because it is just so elegant.

There ya have it!  One of my very first cards.  Can you tell? LOL ;)  I sure can!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Now you are on to Lynda to see what lovely creation she has in store for us today.  Don't forget to leave a comment and become a follower if you want to enter to win the grand prize!

12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop - Day 1

Good morning Crafty Friends!

Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop brought to us by Lisa of HoneyBearz Designs.  This is a 12 day hop where we will be showcasing Christmas/Holiday projects of all types!  Be sure to stop by and follow each blog (comment each day) for your chance to win many, many sponsored prizes and Lisa's goodies too!  I have a feeling there will be blog candy along the way for you to win as well. :)

LOL It's a great challenge for myself.  I just can't wait to see what every one else has been creating this season so I will list all the stops below for an easy way to find everyone.

My first project today is (of course) a gift I made from last year's stash, but haven't posted before. I love to make custom bath salts and scrubs for my friends with my Be Young Essential oils (that I sell) and I concoct my own formulations for different ailments and different reasons.  Please let me know if you are interested in purchasing some custom-made bath salts, sugar or salt scrubs or massage oils.  I use only the finest essential oils on the planet!  They are certified organic and wild-crafted.  This is another passion of mine. :0)  The first set is one I created for my BFF, Michele.  Without further ado, here are the pics...

Top view of the container filled with my custom blend for Michele. ;)
I just used stickers and cardstock from my stash, a cuttlebug embossing folder for the snowflakes and of course blue ink from Colorbox Cat's Eye inks.
The back of the tag lists the ingredients and I added a little flair with some stickers from my stash and paper cut with Victorian edged scissors.
There is the complete package.  Super fun to make and to give!

Christmas Card Hop by Nicolette - Day 2

*Scroll down a post for the Christmas Paper Piecing Blog Hop*

Good morning everyone!  I hope you are all in a blog hopping mood cause I am in TWO blog hops this weekend! Oh yeah, blog candy you ask??? Well of course!  I never know what I'm sending out so it'll be a surprise.  All you have to do is leave a comment and become a follower.  Please leave a way for me to contact you as well.  Oh, and I must ask you to be patient.  It takes me a while to get things together sometimes, but I promise, you will receive it and remind me if you want!  I don't mind! ;)

Alright now if you arrived here from the Queen of the Hop herself, Nicollete from Beyond Scrapin' you are in the right spot!  If you just happened upon my blog today (thank you), please go back to Nicolette's post because well, isn't the beginning the best place to start in a hop?

Well, this hop is as it says... Christmas cards!  I don't care how many ideas I have, I can always use some inspiration and new tips & tricks!

Again, this is just paper and stickers really. I just added lots of layers (some were paper and some were stickers) and some outlines and faux stitching (with my white gelly pen) and voila`!
My favorite part is the tree!  I decided to use a border sticker as garland so I inked around the edges and cut it up, then placed on the tree to look like garland, then I used Glossy Accents for the star and pop dotted that on.  Isn't that snowman sticker just fun?  I also love the two background papers together.  I love using non-traditional colors/items for holiday cards.  It just makes it all that much more unique!

This is another card I made last year. The materials came from the Basic Grey Jovial card-of-the-month kit from December 2010.  It's one of my favorite holiday lines ever.  The paper is still available from my Memory-Works store, along with some other embellishments and things from this line so if you like it, please email me (amyjrockstar at gmail dot com) and I'll get you the info!  I can promise my prices are some of the best on the Web. (Do people still call it that?) I don't have my own site yet, but I can get you a catalog or send you to the main site with my information.

Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to enter for blog candy!  Your next stop is one of my favorite bloggin', scrappin' gals... Kari with PurpleFuntastic Creations.  That gal loves hops as much as I do! ;)  We've been in lots together and I'm sure we'll be in more!  Can't wait for the next one Kari!

Be sure to go back and catch yesterday's posts if you missed 'em for more chances to win and more creations!
