Old School Cartridge Blog Hop - Aug. 5th and 6th

Welcome to Scrappin, Card Making and Living with Fibro and the Old School Cartridges Blog Hop!
If you've come from visiting Cheryl at Pink and Paper, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our fun hop, you can go to http://www.inkingitupcrazy. and start at the beginning. We would love to share a few projects and ideas with you using the older cricut cartridges.  So get ready for some super fun projects and some fun giveaways along the way!  After you have finished the hop, be sure to head on back to INKING IT UP CRAZY and create and link up a project of your own using one of your older cartridges.  The older the better ;)
Make sure to check out each member's blog. There will be some fun prizes along the way, AND there will be some AWESOME ideas!
For today's post, I needed to make a sympathy card for a special order so I decided to give it a go with some of my "Old School" cartridges.  I used Jasmine and Serenade.  Okay, so these might not be the oldest cartridges, but, I have never used them on my projects so they are "old" in my collection.  I got Jasmine with from Craig's List a while back and Serenade is one of the first carts I ever bought!  Shame on me for not using it yet!  I hope this will suffice for an "Old School" project and I'm so glad you all stopped by to see my creation!

This was a super simple card to make.  I just used cardstock that was in my stash and some Diamond Stickles, a Brown Zig pen and my Zig 2way glue pen.  The background embossed paper was actually something I had received in a Craig's List (CL) lot so I'm not sure how it was embossed.  I'm pretty sure I got the ribbon off of CL too.  I also used some different colors of ink to add some more depth to the tree.  I used the Colorbox cat's eye inks in an olive tone and a medium brown. This was one of the most simple, plain cards I have ever made, but I really like doing that for Sympathy cards and I am quite pleased with the way it turned out!  I hope you all enjoy and have fun on the hop!

For my blog candy I will be giving away something handmade.  Most likely a couple of cards made by me so if you would like to enter please leave a comment and become a follower.  I only give out blog candy to my wonderful faithful followers and I really hope you'll become one too! :0)
Next you're off to the talented Holly!  She actually has two blogs and I'm not sure which one she will be using so please check HERE as well!  Go see what she has in store for you today...
Here is the order of the list of hops in case you get lost. :0)
